One quick thing....
I am VERY disappointed to report that my Cuttlebug WILL NOT cut felt. I was really hoping to make some coolio felt flowers w/it but, alas, it is not to be. I guess I'll have to order some from SU. Bummer.

I've been off school now for 3 days & I've not really done a whole lot. I am almost done w/Erin's 20Q CJ. I'm hoping to mail it tomorrow at the latest. I'm the last one to work on hers. Mine won't be back for a bit but, I'm excited for Erin to get hers!!
I've been obsessed with Grungeboard since Erin posted she hated it. That caused me to check out Tim Holtz's video on it. It is so NOT me but, I had to have it. 2 weeks ago, when I spent a ton at Archivers, I had it in my hand & put it back. I had instant remorse but, no one but Archivers sells it. On Sunday, I convinced the kids that they wanted to go to the Mall (that just happens to have an Archivers in it). Unfortunately, it's a smaller store. And arranged TOTALLY different than "my" store. I finally found the GB but all they had in the elements was stripes & harlequin. I wanted plain. But, I knew better than to wait & bought it. Here's what I did w/it that night. You'd think sometime in the last 3 days I would have had more time to play. What is my problem??
Well, I promised Scott that I would finally clean the house today so I must go. I will post more later, I hope.

Ok, I KNOW it's now March but, I tried, really tried to get them done. Uh, Feb is a short month. I'd be right on time if there were 31 days in Feb. Ok, that's my story. These are a stamp-lift from Kristina's MACM 12/3. I thought this was the cutest idea and I decided my 10 cards this month would be this. How hard could it be? Well, parts were harder than I thought, other parts were easier: Tying 30 tiny bows w/sucky fiber (DMC Light Silver Thread --from my cross stitch days. As soon as you cut it, it separates into 4 thin fibers. UCK!) was enough to make me give up. But, I persevered. The easy thing was the Heat & Stick powder. I have had this stuff for YEARS and could never figure out how to use it. The glitter never stuck. And my sucky demo had no idea how to use it. Well, Kristina made it look so easy that I vowed to try it again (I also vowed to try the glue pad again & still haven't messed w/it; maybe tomorrow). I did it just as the video showed & it worked. Soooo cool!!

Lookie here! 2 post, 2 days, 2 cards! Am I on a roll now?? Doubtful. LOL
These cards another "steal". I know I used to be able to "copy" a card but make it my own, know what I mean? Nowdays, I seem to just steal the whole thing & the only differnce may be a color change. I need to take "inspiration" from these cards instead of doing them exactly the same way. Oh well. It is a cute card & why mess w/perfection??? I'm going to give these cards to my co-workers today. I didn't get a chance to make them VD cards so, these ought to make up for it, don't you think??
I guess I can get partial credit for taking the idea and making these bag toppers?? I decided to give these to the kids & dh today. Dh was almost a Leap Day baby: he was born in 64 which was a Leap Year & his mom was getting VERY worried when the 27th rolled around & still no baby. Luckily, she had him that day instead of the 29th. The kids wish that he WAS born on Leap Day so they would be "older" than him.
Hmmm, these photos seem very washed out. I wonder why. I turned the flash off & they looked pretty good when I shrank them. Ok, I checked; you can click on the pics for more detail.

Yesterday was Scott's Birthday. Unfortunately, my dear hubby is out of town on business. He spent his birthday working & then had to go out to dinner, ALONE. And then go back to an empty hotel room. The kids thought I should have figured out where he was going to dinner and then call the resturant, describe him well enough that they could go over & sing Happy Birthday to him. I didn't. But, to make him not feel so bad, the kids and I went out & celelbrated his birthday without him. LOL.
Here is the card I'm going to give him tonite when I pick him up from the airport. I pretty much outrighted copied it from this video. The only thing I changed is the cardstock color (I'm in a HUGE Certainly Celery phase right now plus, I'm boycotting all In Colors!) and, since I didn't have the yummy Chocolate ribbon (although I do have some yummy chocolate!), I improvised. I think it made it a bit more "manly" anyway.

I have not forgotten my blog. I even have new pics to post but, my camera & my computer never seem to be in the same room. While you wait for me to get my act together, I will share my recent Archiver's purchases with you. Now, this purchase is in addition to the $200 worth of SU products I rec'd last week, the $70 worth of SU I ordered a week and 1/2 ago & the $60 worth of SU I orderd last Saturday. I think I'm unwell!

My SU order came on Monday. My wonderful demo brought it to me in a snow-shower!
I was determined to make some cards w/this bounty. I started w/the rubons (stinking COOL rubons!) I figured I'd use the black first. Ok, what color would look best with black. Not red, not white. Hey, I've got some In Colors left from last year & I'm going to get rid of them all! I have decided that In Colors are not a good thing (at least not for my weirdly wired mind). I bought 3 colors of ink & reinker 'cause I would not be able to get the ink again. Uh, what do you do w/the ink & inkers when the PAPER is gone??? I now have Cranberry Crisp & True Thyme ink & no paper to go with it. I hate that!!! But, I digress.
I picked out Vintage Violet 'cause I thought the black would look good against that color. Now, to find another color to go with it. All of the remaining In Colors look HORRID w/this color except Marigold Morning (the 3rd color of ink I bought. WHY??? I hate yellows!) This combo looks ok & I find a ribbon in my stash that goes pretty well.
I have to make something else to use my new stamps & Scallop punch. I look for a pattern paper to go w/dirty bruises (VV). Nothing! Finally, I find some scraps of an old Basic Grey. It actually matches (and the distressing matches the Marigold!) I'm not 100% crazy about this one.
So I try some more BG PP to see what else I come up with. These, I'm actually pretty happy with. I'm still not digging the VV. I went to a SU Color Matching site but, there wasn't much there I liked. I was going to try it with a rose or pink color when Shuggy posted that she LOVES this color. I'm sending the rest to her and not wasting any of my time on a really, really ugly color.

Repurpose? I bought Becca a skirt for school & it came with this belt. She said she would NEVER wear it but I left it in the laundry room for the last 5 months. Today, I got a wild hair to clean up some junk left in there. I had it in my hand to throw away but then decided it could be reused for something.

I'm am not 100% crazy about these cards. I wanted to use my Cuttlebug because I have yet to use it for ANYTHING except playing. I don't know if the first card (for dd) is missing something or if I just hate it 'cause it's purple & I don't really like purple. The 2nd one (for ds) is better but, I'm not sure about the frog. I debossed it 'cause I thought it looked better. Then, when I attached it to the card, it seemed to get lost so I went over the grooves w/pen. It's not doing alot for me.
This afternoon, dh made me a Valentine's card. He's going to be out of town on VD and asked what I wanted. I told him he didn't have to get me anything ('cause I'm going to a SU party on the 15th!!). He said he'd buy me a card. I told him to MAKE me a card. So, he did. I'll post it when I get it.

I saw this 100 places last week but never bothered to save it. Then, Vicki at the Shack posted a blog w/instructions. Too much fun. I need ALOT more practice (and skinnier fingers wouldn't hurt!) but it is a sensational look. Both these cards were for friends w/birthdays on Saturday. Both were very impressed w/the technique

Saw this test on the Amuse blog. I found some of the questions really hard. Guess I'm not so smart. I had to have help from my kids on the prime numbers.

Over at the Stamp Shack, Sherri issued a challenge to make 10 Chrsitmas Cards a month so when the holidays roll around, we won't be overwhelmed. I tried it last year & petered out after February. Hopefully, I'll do better this year but it did take me until 2/1 to get my January card done.
