I'm still on the fence about how I feel about them. I like that I can see at a glance what blogs I haven't read but I don't like that I can't leave comments. I like that I can just click on the name & it'll take me to the actual blog so then I can read comments & leave my own. I'm not sure. Anyone else try it and have an opinion?
I went to see my quack dr yesterday. I have some fluid behind my left ear but no signs of infection. He gave me those fabulous pills to take for congestion. BLUCK!! The other pill is ds's zyrtec. I tried to switch pills w/him 'cause mine are TOO HUGE to swallow. Oh well. I don't feel a whole lot better today. Especially since he drew more blood for an iron count & blood sugar, both of which I was supposed to "deal with" when I saw him last August. Needless to say, I've not started taking iron pills nor have I cut down on sugar and fat (see prev post if you have ANY doubt). They called back but would not leave a message with dh. I'm guessing they were not calling to say my blood work is good & keep doing what I'm doing?????
Well, here are some of the cakes I baked this week.
Here, we measure flour by the gallon & vanilla by the cup!!
I think this recipe calls for 2.5 gallons of flour, 2 gal of sugar, 4 cups of cocoa, 2/3 cup of baking soda and 12 cups of oil for 6 cakes. FUN!! The icing is 2lbs of butter, 8lbs of powdered sugar and 1/3 cup of vanilla. It's the MOST DELICIOUS CAKE!!! And I HATE chocolate cake. Yummy.

I'm a little burned out right now on baking but I TRULY LOVE my job. It's really fun & I work w/fun people. Most days, the kids are not too bad. Most of them really respond well when you joke around & play with them. The little ones are really cute too.
This just in: 2 times this week, I've had dreams about Christmas lights. The big C7 lights, not the tiny ones. What do you think this means????? Any dream people out there? A link to a dream website?
Edit: Julie, I think you are RIGHT ON w/what the dream means. I bet those big lights use ALOT more electricity than the little ones.
I've had this ear/head thing for 4 days now! I tried to get in to see my Dr on Mon but there were no openings. I made an appt for Tue but the Dr got sick & cancelled. Wed was his day off so the rescheduled for this afternoon. If I live that long. It's not horrible and I can still go to work (unfortunately) but everything I say echos inside my head and either I can't hear what other people are saying or they are WAY TOO LOUD!!! I want it to go away & I want to feel better. Oh yeah, I HATE my doctor!!! He wears nylon socks w/flip flops and blames EVERY ailment I have on my weight.
I've been working on this card for 3 days. I'm not sure the pinks "go" in real life. Both colors are in the stripe but they somehow seem to clash on this card. Thoughts, opinions, criticisms??
I'm putting all my stamps & stuff away for awhile. The pressure to create is too great w/it all sitting out (and it's driving dh nuts!) I will be home, semi-alone, on Saturday. Lets see if having it all out of site makes it out of mind or makes the heart grow fonder.
Today is DH's birthday. I won't reveal his age but, he is OLDER THAN ME!!! (the most important fact!) I actually baked him a cake this morning (at 5:45am!) I considered just making one at work today & "accidentally" bringing it home but, he wanted lemon cake & I'm making chocolate today.
After making this card, I see that maybe I should hang up my stamps. Well, there are no stamps on it other than the sentiment but...... My muse is TOTALLY gone. And, on my own, I can not even place balloons in an artistic manner.

I went to my third SU party this year! I can't beleieve there is ANYTHING else I need but, managed to spend another $50. But, I already have all the SAB stamps sets. So my demo is going to trade me a SAB for one of her old, no longer using sets. Cool!! My boss has a party scheduled for March so I still have at least one more to go!
I liked these project more than the ones I did at the last party. I messed up the button on the bottom of the Flower card. The frog card has the frog pop-dotted and the "knees & elbows" are bent (thanks Marge) so he looks very jumpy. The b/g doesn't looke quite right now. Either I NEVER should have colored the dragonfly or I should color it all now. Will have to consider what else it needs.
