Steampunk!

For Kirtsty's swap.  Now, to be fair, I didn't add quite so many "gears" to all the ATCs, others just go 2.  I had a bunch left over & just started gluing them to my ATC.  This was FUN!

Polar Bear

I bought this paper a couple of years ago.  I fell in LOVE with the cute polar bear on the paper.  I looked everywhere for the matching stamp but couldn't find it!  I even searched ONLINE (if you know me, I NEVER order online!!!) Never could find it.  Finally, one day, casually strolling thru Michael's, there he was!!!!  Then, Angie posted a Polar Bear swap.  HOT DOG!!!!  I love it when a plan comes together!!!

Peace!!

For Sherri's wreath swap.  I thought I was so far outside the box on this "wreath".  Turns out, Chris used the same one.  LOL  I'm getting kinda bored w/my ATCs.  They all seem to look the same but I don't know what to do to make them better.  I was VERY rushed on the latest batch & there was no time to think of new techniques.  They need some "tweaking" tho!!!

Give me a kiss!!!

When I joined Sherri's Mistletoe swap, I KNEW I had no Mistletoe stamps.  But, I figured I had some stamps I could working leaves & berries.  Well, I didn't.  As the deadline approached, I got DESPERATE.  I searched for digital stamps.  It's AMAZING how many people don't know the difference between Holly & Mistletoe.  Even stamp designers!!!  I bought a digital stamp.  But, once I got it, I didn't like it.  So, I found this free mistletoe circle.  Then, I found a blog where a woman made mistletoe out of the SU Bird punch.  Eureka!!!  Love how it turned out.  And, for stamping purists (me included) there is "real" stamping on the red scalloped circle, although you can barely see it.  LOL

Can you take MORE Christmas?

In honor of my tree STILL being up, I'll share some Holiday themed ATCs I've done recently.  I think both were for Sherri's swaps.  Santa and the elf stamps are both from the same set the Becca got me for Christmas last year.  Just colored Santa but paper-pieced the elf.

It's (gonna be) A Girl!!!

Scott's niece is pregnant & they know it's going to be a girl.  They are keeping the name to themselves for now.  We had a shower for Christie on Sunday & this is the card I made for her.  This is the very first stamp I ever bought!!!  Got it at a LSS that has long since closed!!  I think it turned out very cute & girlie!  This is the first girl born into (Scott's side of) the family since Becca!!  All 4 of my MIL's great-grandchildren & Aunt Jackie's one are all boys!!!  Time for some PINK!!!

It's Mrs. Claus

For Chris' Mrs Claus swap.  It's HARD to find a stamp of just the Missus!!  This is a digital stamp.  Cut out all the pieces for the hat, dress & apron.  There is stickles on the holly leaves.

Last Christmas Card

This is the last & my FAVORITE of the Christmas cards.  Doesn't have much stamping but was really ALOT of work to distress EVERY piece of paper!!!!  And, the worst thing is, I STOLE the whole idea from another stamper!!  Check out JenMarie's inspiration here.  Of course, I SAY inspiration but I changed NOTHING except I dyed my baker's twine so it wasn't quite so WHITE.  I truly LOVE the results!!

Christmas Cards

Yet ANOTHER Christmas card.  Next year, I'm going back to ONE card!!  LOL.   This is another Unity Itty Bitty.  I stamped w/versamark & then heat embossed.  Then, I sprayed with glimmer mist!  I should have wiped the GM off before it dried; I assumed it would resist the embossing.

Christmas Cards

This might be my favorite of all the cards I made this year.  I did the cracked glass technique although the inking didn't show so well after the Ultra Thick embossing powder was cracked.

Stamps or Unity, Letters are Sizzlets (I think) and the paper is MME.

Christmas Cards

I fell in love with baker's twine this Christmas.  Had some for YEARS and never used it.  Used it on a card & needed MORE.  I ended up buying 3500 YARDS for both read & green!!!  Expect to see ALOT of it from now on.

Paper from my stash, twine from the GIANT SPOOL, Snowflakes stamp is Tim Holtz & the Merry Christmas is Ippity.  The cardstock is SU Cherry Cobbler.  I've discovered it's the BEST red on the PLANET!!!

2010 Christamas Cards

For the first time in YEARS, I've not done just ONE card. Usually, I buy a stamp set I love & make all my cards from that stamp.  This year, I made a bunch of different ones.  I'm not sure that I like this way of doing things (what if next year I make something like these but a little different & then send it to the same people & they actually NOTICE and think I'm a freak?!?!)  I also waited WAY too long & had WAY too big of a list.  Of course, when I cut it back a little, the people I cut were the ones who actually SENT ME a card and now I'm making MORE cards to send back to those people.  ARGH!!!

Anyway, this idea was STOLEN from Angie.  She made a cute card w/this image & a tag & white ribbon.  I LOVED the idea of the snowflakes behind the image too!!  Stamps from Ippity.  I versamarked the stamp & then colored the birds with a maker (can't wait for my Cherry Cobbler marker I'm hoping Santa brings me for Christmas).  Then I heat embossed.  I made the crinkle ribbon from seam binding & glimmer mist.  LOVE this ribbon!!!

Rudholph the red nosed reindeer!

This was for Angie's Reindeer swap.  I LOVE this stamp.  It's soooo cute!!!  I forgot to stickle the nose before I mailed them off but I think they still look cute!!  And I love the Jilly Bean Soup paper.  I'm trying not to hoard it but.....

Last of the TH Inspired Cards

This is my FAVORITE card of all that we did.  I LOVE this snowman & am going to have to get him (although I did get the die to cut him out, I still don't have the stamp).  I just love everything about this card!

TH Inspired Tag

This one was pretty simple & easy.  All one stamp, colored Santa w/fired brick, added glue & flower soft.  Done & DONE!  Oh yeah, stickles on the beard & fur.
