Happy Mother's Day

This was my Mother's Day card for Scott's Mom. It is a DIRECT CASE from this card by Cindi. I didn't have the vast variety of Prima's that Cindi did so I tried to make do with what I had. I also screwed up the sentiment & had to redo it on another piece of paper. I thought it looked ok at the time but, looking at this pic of it, not so much. But, as my MIL is nearly blind (but still drives, YIKES!!) it probably wasn't AT ALL noticeable to her!!

Ladybug, you're a real pain

While at 'palooza, I tried 17 different Ladybug ATCs. Nothing I did worked right. I bought this new stamp at the LSS in Ft Wayne but STILL couldn't make it work. This is what I finally came up with. Then, when I got home, I decided it needed black brads. Only, I don't have any black brads! I think the yellow & red brads actually worked better!

I scream for Ice Cream!!

This is for Christie's Ice Cream swap. Unfortunately, I had it in my head that it was supposed to be for Traci and sent it to her. DUH!!! Anyway, after signing up for the swap, I discovered I had NO ice cream stamps. I shopped around for some at 'palooza but didn't find anything that I really liked too much. While looking for something else, I found this Ice Cream Cone on a set of Changito stamps. I love the way this one came together. In case you can't tell, Changito can "swing".

Pick a sport (but not your nose?) swap

This is for Sherri's Pick a Sport Swap. I bought this Changito stamp maybe 2 years ago. I knew sometime, I'd need a baseball image. Now is the time! I used crystal effects on the bubble. Next time, I'll make sure to make the background color darker; CE seems to lighten the colors underneath.

It's Time

This is for Sarah's Tick Tock Time swap. I've had these Heidi Swapp stamps forever. I bought them originally intending to stamp them on acrylic & cut them w/my Nestabilites into circle clock shapes. I've never gotten around to doing that. But, when Sarah posted this swap, I knew it was time for these stamps to get inky!

Flip Flop ATCs

For Sherri's Flip Flop Swap (that's fun to say!) I found this awesome flip flop paper in IN when I was at Shack-a-Palooza. It has glossy "embossing" on some of the flip flops. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the transparancy & dry brushed paint over the edges. I had tried to cut out cardstock but it covered too much of the cute paper. I also added Stickles to the flowers on MY flip flops. I liked the way it turned out!

Stamp Camp part IV

I've been very lazy lately and haven't gotten this last pic loaded. That was because I didn't manage to get it finished at Stamp Camp. This was a FREAKING hard project & took a while for everyone to get it done. I got mine stamped but not colored. Now, I'm not thrilled w/the way I colored it. I never can just leave thier eyes alone!! Then, when I color them, they look goofy. Oh well.

Stamp Camp part III

This was the FUNNEST project we worked on Saturday. First you make a "box" (there is a SU die to make this box but Sue didn't have it :( ) Then, we took one full top note die cut & 2 cut down die cuts, cover them in versamark, sprinkle clear embossing powder on the entire surface. Then, using a bone folder, trace an uneven plaid pattern into the unmelted embossing powder. Heat & enjoy!! This technique was so much cooler than I thought it was going to be. I'm going to play w/this & come up with something "manly" for my father's day cards! Oh, the build-a-brad "closure" is the coolest!!!

Stamp Camp part II

Cute little box made using the matchbox die. I now have 2 of these. Don't know what to do with them. I guess I'll wait until I have someone to thank. I did buy a ton of Hershey Nuggets I could decorate & put in here.

Stamp Camp again!

Debi decided to have a Stamp Camp at her house for just her friends. We made 4 projects and I'll share them here with you over the next few days.

This was the first project and I gotta say my least favorite. I don't like YELLOW!! But, the technique was fun. We embossed white cardstock with the texture folder (or whatever SU calls it). Then, using

the DEBOSSed side (the non-bumpy side) we brayered ink and then sponged ink. I think my brayer lines were a little to straight but, what can you do. We then cut around the top & bottom flowers & mounted it on Summer Sun cardstock (I hate this color so much I don't even OWN any of it!!!)

Then, we stamped the 5th Avenue stamp INSIDE the card on a top note die cut. This actually looked pretty cute! The white cardstock we embossed & the top note die are both a shimmery paper. Can't really tell from these photos.

I will be sending this card (and a few others) to Traci for her Ink-a-palooza challenge. She will be sending them to the Autism Society of Maine.

Finished Journal Page

Yes, they did finally get completed! All 16 of them. I ended up w/4 leftovers. I have no idea what to do with them??

I really did like the end result. The flowers were a pain. Stamping DIRECTLY on the page did cause some problems. I ruined a whole pre-colored page by not paying attention (and using KILLER adhesive that will NOT let you reposition. EVER!!) Oh, I did a matching ATC. I gotta find one & share that here too.

I LOVED Shack-a-palooza!! I can't wait for next year. Everyone who has the opportunity MUST go!!!

Shackapaloosa Circle Journal

I'm participating in the CJ for 'palooza. These are the elements of my pages. I'm hoping I'll have them together before we leave; doesn't look good.

April Stamp Camp

Another fun day at Sue's. I so love her Stamp Camps!! Here are today's projects:

The little box uses the matchbox die. Such a cute project. I like the "idea" of the Mother's Day card but not the color combo. A little too "red hat" for me (since I'm soooo young!)
I love this card. First, the glitter in the center of the flower (which you probably can't see in the pic) is just sooooo cool. Then, the whole concept of the "twist" to open it. And finally, LOVE that flower pot!!!
We did one other card but I can't share it here 'cause it's PERFECT for a friend who reads my blog. I may post it once I'm back from 'palooza next week. WOOHOO!!!!

A Tree Grows at the Shack

But I think I hate it. I wish I hadn't stuck the leaves & bow on there. Opinions?

My Riley ATCs

I'm hosting a swap over at the Shack for Riley/Sophie ATCs. This is my contribution. I don't think I'm quite finished as I have an uncontrollable urge to add "beep beep" to the front. We'll see.
