Sorry, still no pics

I've been bogged down w/the non-stamping side of life this week. I have been TRYING to get my 10 C'mas cards done for March (wanted to be EARLY this month) and I've been working on a Shack swap but my printer is NOT COOPERATING!!! I hate when my printer is illogical. If it's gonna screw up, screw up the NORMAL way that I know how to fix! Don't tell me your printing and/or deleting and don't do it!!!

Twice now I've gotten icky "comments" on my blog. If I get one more, I'm going to have to either put those annoying letter/number things in for y'all to type or have to go to moderated comments. I don't like either option but I don't want you (or me for that matter) to get a virus by reading my comments. Why is there so much evil in the world?? Kinda makes you wonder what God thought was so bad during Noah & Lot's times.

Good day yesterday -- Not Stamp/Scrap related!

First off, yesterday, I found Becca's cell phone. It had been missing for 3 weeks & we had just decided that we were going to have to inactivate it & purchase another one. On a hunch, I looked under the DRIVER'S seat on the van (I had looked thru the van twice but never thought to look there as, she can't drive & we were assuming that SHE lost it). There it was!! Woohoo!

Last night, we went to the Mall to return some library books. Scott bought a dress shirt for $5, Becca got jammie pants & a shirt for $11 and I got NEW FLATWARE!!! I've been wanting this flatware since before T'giving but, w/Christmas expenses & everything, I couldn't see paying that much for it. After Christmas, they never put it on sale again, until yesterday. It's so pretty & nice!! I LOVE IT!!

Today, I'm going to my Sat Stampin Sistah's to pick up my last SU order (even tho I don't have my middle SU order and it looks like I'm going to be making a 4th SU order on Fri. Apparently, there are a few things I don't yet have!) We're going stamp & have fun for awhile! I'm looking forward to it & I'm going to have something new to post when I get back (I hope!)

Sorry no posts for awhile

I'm out of town visiting my family. My bro, sil & all 4 kids moved to Bolivar MO earlier this year. 2 weeks later, her mom & dad moved (they had planned the move all along, just waited until their house sold). The unexpected part was that about 3-4 weeks before Kevin moved, my parents up & decided to move down there too. Boom, a week later, they were gone! Anyway, I haven't been able to come down here (4+ hour drive and w/gas prices what they were....) but Scott got an audit trip down here so we tagged along. I finally get to see everyone's houses & made it in time for the twin's 3rd b'day party yesterday. Unfortunately, I left my camera in my dad's van so I have no pics of anything!

Well, since it appears no one's reading this anymore

(and w/as bad as I've been posting, who can blame you???) I won't worry that I'm still not posting a card. I did make one for my co-worker's bday. It's cute if I do say so myself. I guess I'm in another stamping funk. I can not seem to do anything nor do I WANT to do anything. It really upsets me as I have sooooo much new stuff. I bought 2 sets of Autumn Leaves stamps and enough pattern paper to choke a horse (how much does it take to choke a horse anyway?) but I can not get motivated. I really need a swap to get me going but, I'm afraid of the pressure. Maybe I should TELL myself I'm in a swap & have to do cards????

Anyway, I'm still here, still trying to check blogs (but kinda sucking at that too) and keeping up w/the daily dish on the shack. I should have a clean house since I'm not doing anything else. Should is the key word there.

No news from here

I still haven't gotten to play w/my stuff :( Maybe today??? Yeah, right.

We had a phone meeting w/ds's teacher. Nothing was really accomplished. Dh now understands that the problem is w/Nick not her dumping too much homework on the kids (duh). I picked ds up from school to make sure he had all his stuff for his First Ladies Project. He still forgot to bring home a book. DH worked w/him on homework tonite & another meltdown. I don't know if we're ever going to make it thru 4th grade.

Sorry to be such a downer. I do have scans of some cards I worked on last week. I'll try to "find" them & post them here in a bit.

OMG, it's been a week since I posted!! Yikes

That's what I get for trying to only post about cards. My muse has been out again. I think I need to stop trying to make Chirstmas cards. I think I need to go back to swapping. I find it easier to come up w/an idea if it's for a swap. Hmmm, maybe I should host a C'mas cards Swap??? C'mas in April. Based on our weather, it seems reasonable. I do have some cards I've done but I haven't scanned them yet. I will scan them later & post them tomorrow morning.

Nick is still Sick

Poor baby!! He acted MUCH better this morning, talking & playing video games. But, about 5 min after I let him have a drink, up it came. The fever seems to be gone, he just can't eat :( Poor Monkey. Grandpa is gonna stay with him this morning while I take Scott to the Airport.

The kids and I had a fun day planned: take daddy (and grandma) to the airport, go to McDs for lunch & then to the Mills to shop and hang out. Now, we can't do that. Both kids are disappointed (of course, so is Mom. I was gonna get to go to Archivers :( Oh well. I'll come back home & stamp.

Now, to find that card I made.......

I stamped today

Took me nearly 2 hours to make ONE CARD. And, technically, it's not even finished yet. I'm not sure where to put the stamped element. I was gonna post it here but, I had to put my stuff away and now, I'm not 100% sure where I put it. I'll find it tomorrow & seek opinions then. I was VERY happy w/how it turned out.

DS is still very sick. He threw up 3 times today. He's very listless which, if you know ANYTHING about Nick proves he's REALLY SICK!!! He watched tv all day. Poor little baby. The doctor said it's going around & there is really nothing we can do but let it run it's course. That & make sure he doesn't get dehydrated. Tomorrow, I guess I'll have to get him some gatorade or some pedilyte. I hope he'll be better soon!!

Woke up to TWO sick kids today

DD was still unwell. She didn't feel up to going to school so I told her she didn't have to go. DS said he didn't feel good. I told him that he needed to eat & go to school. Figured he was faking. He drank his juice, took his Zyrtek and then went to his room. I told him to brush & flush & get dressed. I went into his room a few minutes later & he was sound asleep on his bed. I decided to let him stay home.

I HAD to go to work. I knew one girl was going to be off so I had to cover for her. When I got to work, another girl never showed up. It was a horrid day. And, to make matters MORE FUN, the computer's crashed & I had to hand write all the kids names so I can enter them when the computer comes back up!

Anyway, I didn't get a chance to call dh to ask how Nick & Becca were. When I finally got home, found out that Nick was REALLY sick. He didn't wake up until 10am & when he did, he threw up. He layed (lied???) around all day & didn't even want to play Game Cube. When I got home, I took his temp & it was 102.4!!! I gave him some tylenol & he went back to sleep. Later, his temp was back down to normal & he was feeling MUCH better. He had some mac & cheese & some koolaid & feel asleep on the couch. Hopefully, he'll be ok in the morning.

So, I sat w/the kids & watched Pirates of the Caribean II instead of stamping tonite. Oh well, the kids enjoyed having mom watch TV w/them so, I'll not complain. Maybe I'll stamp tomorrow.

Nothing to report

Instead of making anything last night, I spent 45 min looking for my Danelle Johnson Circle C'mas stamps. ARGH!!! Why am I such a mess??? My stuff is fairly organized. I cleaned everything up when I put it away. WHY WHY WHY were the C'mas stamps not w/the C'mas stamps??? I finally found them UNDER a box where I keep completed layouts waiting for pictures & somehow, my chipboard. How did it get under a box that has not MOVED in nearly 2 years?? By the time I found them, I was too disgusted w/myself to make anything. And, dh had made popcorn so, I ate that, watched some TV (I'm completely out of the B'ball pools. All 4 of my Final 4 teams lost :( and went to bed. Maybe today???

No new crafting.

In fact, I actually put all my stamp stuff away. Dh wanted to see the basement table. Men!!

DS got his Taekwondo yellow belt tonite. He's so excited. He's only been in TKD a little over a month. He's got his eyes on the green belt. Green is his favorite color. Once he gets that, I'm not sure if he'll even TRY to get anything higher. Last week, we bought him a t-shirt to wear instead of his smock thingie (wish I knew the real names for these things. Some of them are written in his instruction book but they're all Korean (or Japanese, I don't really know) and they are NOT pronounced they way they are spelled. At least it doesn't seem to be the way the instructor says it. (BTW, the instructor is WAAAAY CUTE!! No honey, I don't mind taking Nick to TKD at all. You stay home & relax. LOL) Anyway, back to the t-shirt. It's green & says "Taekwondo Freak" on it. He loves it. I think he'd sleep in it if we'd let him.

DD is coming down w/something. Probably the same thing ds had last week. She's mopey (she's 12, she ALWAYS mopey!!) and snotty (really snotty, not just 12 yo snotty!) and more whiney than usual. I guess she'll end up staying home tomorrow. At least dh is home tomorrow & can take care of her. I'm finally going to have a full week in at work which means a full paycheck somewhere down the road.

That's the boring news from here. I'm really in the mood to stamp but, I'm going to iron instead & do some laundry.

It's Thursday already?????

Oh my heavens, this is the longest I have gone w/o posting to my blog. NOTHING interesting has happend & I have not created anything in the last 3 days! I still can not get inspired. I want to do more 3x3 cards (since Sherri is doing them & they are stinkin cute) or do some of the blog candy (since Erin is doing them & they are DARN stinkin cute). I want to do some of the funky folded cards seen here I have all day on Friday, most of the day on Saturday and, if dh cleans today like he promised he would do (yeah, right) I won't even have anything to do on Sunday.

My boss suggested I work on a mini-album instead of trying to do a card? I don't know. What if I get into the middle of that & lose steam (or, dont' start w/any steam to begin with??) Or, maybe I should call my dr back, get the results of the blood test he did last week, admit that I'm anemic & start taking the blasted iron pills he recommended LAST AUGUST!!! Or, not.

Anyone care to hear about my dh's plight??

Today, he went to do an audit (and no, the neato-peato mini suv was NOT for him). This audit had been rescheduled from a couple of weeks ago 'cause the dude's bro had died. They rescheduled for today & the guy said he would call/email if today was not good. So, dh got up, dressed in his suit and we rented a car since I needed to have a vehicle to drive the kids around. Dh drove an hour to the guy's office & he's not there!!!! He's still in Detroit. No call, no email, NOTHING!! DH says the reps have to pay for the pleasure of a compliance audit & this guy will get billed for an audit that never took place. Then, w/in the next month or so, dh will have to go out again & they guy will get dinged for another audit. I'm guessing the rep won't be too pleased when dh finally does get around to seeing him.

So, now, dh's home & I get to drive the fancy red Camry down to pick up dd & to take ds to TKD. I love getting to drive rental cars. He usually gets nicer cars than what we own so it's nice to see how the other half lives.

I'm off to create some more. Did another card that's so-so. Still trying to find "good".

Yea, the Shack is BACK

Was able to log in first thing this morning. It just makes my day go smoother.

Had to take dd to school, then the van to the repair place so I can pay to have my bumper fixed. The chick who hit me never paid her insurance so I'm SOL! Man, can you think of the coolio things I could have bought w/the $250 I'm gonna have to pay on my deductible???? Bummer!!!

Anyway, the shop called, it's gonna be 2 days before they can fix my bumper (I told them the whole thing needed to be replaced but, what do I know, I'm just a girl?) so I had to get a rental car. But, since DH had an audit, he got to take the rental. I'll be lucky to even get to drive it :( It was some kinda of coolio mini-suv. Tonite, I have to p/u dd from school & then take ds to taekwondo. Dh won't be home until I leave for TKD so, maybe I'll go somewhere AFTER.

I'm going to create something pretty today. Im gonna keep at it until it's something I like!! I know I have some talent. I know I've done pretty cards in the past. I should be able to do it now. We'll see what happens by tonite.

Oh yeah, if anyone out there wants to bring me a x-large diet coke w/vanilla from Sonic, I won't turn it down!!!

Well, I guess we could all go back to the PCMB and talk there.

NAH! It would really freak out all the PCMBers to see some of the old names come back. I guess we all need to communicate thru the blogs.

Has anyone else used Bloglines??

I'm still on the fence about how I feel about them. I like that I can see at a glance what blogs I haven't read but I don't like that I can't leave comments. I like that I can just click on the name & it'll take me to the actual blog so then I can read comments & leave my own. I'm not sure. Anyone else try it and have an opinion?

Which would you rather take???

I went to see my quack dr yesterday. I have some fluid behind my left ear but no signs of infection. He gave me those fabulous pills to take for congestion. BLUCK!! The other pill is ds's zyrtec. I tried to switch pills w/him 'cause mine are TOO HUGE to swallow. Oh well. I don't feel a whole lot better today. Especially since he drew more blood for an iron count & blood sugar, both of which I was supposed to "deal with" when I saw him last August. Needless to say, I've not started taking iron pills nor have I cut down on sugar and fat (see prev post if you have ANY doubt). They called back but would not leave a message with dh. I'm guessing they were not calling to say my blood work is good & keep doing what I'm doing?????

This just in: 2 times this week, I've had dreams about Christmas lights. The big C7 lights, not the tiny ones. What do you think this means????? Any dream people out there? A link to a dream website?


Edit: Julie, I think you are RIGHT ON w/what the dream means. I bet those big lights use ALOT more electricity than the little ones.

Just really busy & no time to post. I want to post a pic of something but, I haven't DONE anything to make a pic of. So, here is post to say Hi and I'll try to get something more informative on later :P

Aren't these just the cuteset????

I got these at the Target $1 spot (but they were $2.50 -- someone explain that??) I have NO IDEA what I'm going to do w/them but, they were too cute to pass up. They would be adorable on my stamp table w/some sort of embellishment in them but, they will probablby end up on top of my cabinets in that empty space between the cabinet & the ceiling. I can never find anything to "go" there.
