Ok, I KNOW Thanksgiving was a LONG time ago but

Here's the ATC I did for my Turkey Trot Swap. I LOVE how this one turned out! I think it's time to host some more swaps now that the Shack is Back!!!

Christmas Card 2009

While I like having the extra cards from doing Sherri's 5 card a month challenge, I really do like making my cards in November (or, lets be real, December!) production line style. Plus, I like having the one quintessential Christmas card for the year. I really didn't like this card when I put it together. In fact, I considered dumping the whole concept. But, as it sat on my desk, I decided I DID like it. Now, it's really grown on my & I think I'm going to make a few more (Scott's co-workers need cards). Merry Christmas!!

Zoo ATCs

I hosted a zoo swap and this was Becca entry. Everyone got the original 9 and then this one as a bonus. I guess I need to host a "kid" swap.

Saturday, December 19, 2009

I don't even remember who's swap this was. I'm thinking Sherri's but who knows (I really need to post DAILY!!!) I LOVE this b/g paper. I used the left overs to make to/from tags for my gifts. I'm going to try to start using all the scraps to make cards & such so I don't have so many left overs after making a swap.

Sherri's Santa Swap

The previous post is the card I made for Sherri's swap. Becca (my 15yo artistic dd) wanted to get in on the action so she made this card.

Experiment

I can't post pics on my 365 Blog. I'm wondering if I can post them here. Let's see...... Ok, that makes me REALLY wonder what's up. I guess I'm going to have to "work" on it.

Christmas Stamp Camp

We made 20 cards from the SU Scrappin' Kit. If you used the full kit (we only used half) you could more than 40 cards from it. Maybe be plan for next year???

Christmas Circle Journal

My page for Joanne's CJ. I really like how it turned out. I'm not sure my journalling of our Christmas Eve traditions is that great but I like the "look" of it. LOL

Style ATCs

For Christie's Fashion Icon swap. The dresses didn't turn out the color I envisioned (my pink embossing powder does NOT match pretty in pink ink!) but I liked the results.!

Surprise!!

I have NOT blown off this blog. I have tons of stuff to post but haven't taken the time to do it (hmmm, maybe that IS the definition of blowing off???) But, here, now, TODAY, I'm going to remedy all that. I'm going to post the stuff I have been ignoring AND I'm going to post the 20 cards we made at the C'mas Stamp Camp at Sue's!!!

Without further ado, here is a timely, Halloween project!!!

Someone (Christie??) posted a link showing all the different Halloween "characters" that could be made w/the scallop punch. They were using them as candy decorations. I don't like peppermint patties and, w/them all lined up in a row, I thought GARLAND. I mad 2 attempts at the garland. The first one was too skinny & the weight of the scallops pulled the garland over & you couldn't see the pretty faces.

The 2nd attempt worked better but, next year, I'm going to make a LONGER piece of cheesecloth (the cloth was dyed using the TON of Walnut Ink that Sarah had given me years ago!!)

September Stamp Camp IV

Last Stamp Camp card. Another birthday. I LOVE this, never would have thought to ink & then stamp in the same color. Another stripe matted w/a solid!! LOVE IT!! And the scallops!

September Stamp Camp III

More birthday cards! While the cupcake set and the cupcake die never rocked my boat, I do LOVE this card!!! Sue has such good ideas!!! I want a cupcake now!!

September Stamp Camp II

I love this set & MUST get it!! I also must learn how to color stamps w/markers!!! Hmm, can I send this card to myself. I just can't seem to shake this cold!!!

September Stamp Camp I

It was Stamp Camp last Saturday!! My favorite day of the month! (maybe even more fun than payday!) I LOVE this b'day card. I love the stripe paper backed w/a solid (soft suede in this case, the only one of the new "in colors" I like. Seems like everyone loves every other color!) Since I'm heading into b'day central (my niece, my nephew, my son, my MIL, my bro & ME!) I can use all the b'day cards I can get!!!

SNOW!!!

Ok, just a few flakes. On some ATCs. I don't even remember who's swap this is. I really wanted a different feel for this but ended up going w/the bling. Nothing else worked the way I wanted. The background paper is a little shimmery, not sure if you can tell in this pic.....

Last Halloween ATC

for now anyway. LOL. Candy Corn ATC. This looked much better in my head. It turned out ok but I'm not sure the glitter helped at all.

More Halloween ATCs

More ATC for Chris's Halloween theme ATCs. This one is for Bats. I've had this frame for a long time and finally had an excuse for using it!

Glue Dots

My Stamp Shack buddy Kerry posted a link to this video on making homemade glue dots. I seem to go thru glue dots VERY quickly and never seem to have the "right" size. So I made these. They work very well! The only complaint is they are not flat or paper thin. Next time I make some, I'm going to try to smush them BEFORE they dry & see if they come out flatter that way. Give them a try!

Halloween ATC

For Chris' Spider Swap. I stole this "cameo" kinda idea from someone but I can't remember who. I hate spiders but this came out cute!

Halloween ATC

For Angie's Halloween Free For All swap. Once again, Changito RULES!!! Once again, DO NOT stamp on black pattern paper if you want to keep your sanity!!! Plus, if you notice, there are TWO pieces to the goodie bag. That top piece was a KILLER!!!

Halloween ATC

For Chris' Mummy Swap. I saw this stamp in a set at Michael's and HAD to get it for this swap. I think this kitty is just too cute!!

Halloween ATC

For Suzanne's Fall Colors swap. The background paper is a metallic embossed paper I've had FOREVER and the leaves are heat embossed w/copper powder.

Halloween ATC

For Chris' Dracula swap. Gotta love even a Dracula dress Changito. For the record, NEVER stamp on black patterned paper. It's nearly impossible to cut it out correctly.

August Stamp Camp III

This card was VERY hard to put together. But, I love how it turned out! There was stuff stamped on the inside but I forgot to take a pic. We also did a 4th card but I still haven't put mine together. There was discussion over ribbon placement & I never landed anywhere with it.

August Stamp Camp II

I really dig this card. I did change a bit from the sample. The khaki circles and stars were supposed to be white. I didn't like the contrast of the white against the khaki so I changed it. LOL I wish I had stamped MORE stars on the twill tape!

August Stamp Camp I

Last week's stamp camp! Such a manly card. Since I don't usually send cards to man-friends, one of my girlies will get it. It's got flowery bud things on it, that's girly, right?? We used the white gel pen to color on the embossed bird.

Finally, a new share?

I have so many things that I have taken pics of and want to get on here but, for some reason or another, I haven't managed it. So, instead of worrying about what "needs" to go on here, I'm just gonna stick some out here!

These are pages for Patti's Christmas Circle Journal. When I got her's, I thought "oh goodie, no theme. this will be easy". Well, not so much. I knew I wanted to color block & I was pretty sure which images I wanted to use. I first stamped them all on white copy paper, cut them out leaving a bit of border around each. I messed around placing them, cutting them down farther or marking the ones that needed to be bigger. Then, I filled in the spaces with images that fit the area and theme. Then, I tried to determine what colors would work best. I should have had more red & green but, I need to color some images so that required they be on lighter colors. After alot of work, it turned out fairly cute. On to the next journal!!!

SU Party II

Card number 2 from Debi's SU Party. Now, y'all know how I feel about "In Colors" so I'm not overjoyed w/the card colors but I really did dig the "medallion" we made w/the scallop punch. COOL!! I also really liked how she had us emboss the outside & the INSIDE portion of the card. Neat ideas Sue!!!

SU Party I

Debi had a post surgery (one day post op!) Stampin' Up party. While I'm not a fan of butterflies, I did like this card. Butterfly stamps, punch & die!!

Pink Santa

For Sherri's Santa Swap. I can't seem to get away from pink & green for Christmas. Distressed the pink, green & white (circle) cardstock to match the BG stripe.

I have TONS of stuff to post

Some of it's already in & sitting on my computer. I just haven't taken the time to post it. I promise, I'll get to it in the next day or so!!! Promise!!

Christmas in July

for Chris's Christmas in July swap. I keep forgetting I have this stamp set. I love it & I love the BG paper!!

Memories of Palooza

This is one of the HARDEST swaps I've joined. There was lots going on in Indiana this spring and we were to choose a theme & make an ATC on it. Well, I'd seen what some of the other girls had done & they took all the good ideas! So, mine is a little far afield. The room we were in had issues with the the air conditioning. We spent half the time freezing to death. As soon as someone would nudge the temp up the tiniest bit, we'd be burning up! So, this is in memory of the Cold Room, Hot Girls at Palooza.

I Want Candy

This is for Joanne's Candy swap. Doesn't look like much but it took FOREVER to stamp & color all those pieces of candy. What do y'all think? Does it need something more???

July Stamp Camp IV

More GLITTER!! This was a interesting (and by that I mean MESSY) card to do. We took the sticky paper & stuck it to white paper (I wonder what this would look like w/a different paper) and then stuck it in dazzling diamonds. Then we cut it w/the Big Shot. Stamped & cut the medallion, added glue & more dazzling diamonds, stamped the white piece & added MORE dazzling diamonds. Talk about sparlke!!
