Christmas Stamp Camp

We made 20 cards from the SU Scrappin' Kit. If you used the full kit (we only used half) you could more than 40 cards from it. Maybe be plan for next year???

June Stamp Camp! IV

I believe this is my New favorite set!!! I love this tree!!! It's so cool! I think I've loved everything I've seen done with it. While these colors don't rock my world, I totally love this card. Even down to the corduroy button inside!!

Here's a funny: while I'm posting this, I'm doing 17 other things. Well, I'm reading blogs. I come across Traci's blog & guess what I see? LOVE IT TOO!!!!!

June Stamp Camp! Part III

While not a huge fan of orange, I did really like this card. We embossed the DSP w/that Manhattan flower folder (can't remember the name of it but it seems we use it every month, I should learn it) then sanded the color off. Hmmm, who do I know who digs orange & has a b'day coming up......

June Stamp Camp! Part II

Sue's "manly" card for this month. I really, really liked the colors & stamps used on this. So much so I decided I wanted to send it to one of my girlfriends & didn't make it into a Father's Day card. Later, I realized I NEEDED FD cards & had to make some up on vacation. Oh well.

June Stamp Camp!

Yes, it's that time again! May SC was late so it just seems like we just had it a few weeks ago (ok, it doesn't just seem like it, we DID just have it but, I digress...)

Another cute 3D projects. I like this little basket but, as a rule, I'm not a fan of 3Ds 'cause I have NO WHERE to store them. But, this little beauty didn't even get to the basement. I had a hair appointment after stamp camp & filled it with candy & took it to Sherri. Help grease the wheels to get Sherri to agree to come in & check on Jack while we were gone to Springfield. Not that she needed greasing; she is such a good person & a good friend! She's the BEST!!!

Stamp Camp part IV

Fun card to make (and we got to keep the template to make them again!). I really like the dress with the belt on it! Really "makes" the card!! I'm going to use this for a graduation card for a friends 8th grader! I probably will add some stickles or rhinestones to the scallops to make it pop & make the "sparkle" sentiment make more sense. LOL

Stamp Camp part III

Sue apparently really loves this flower embossing folder. It's cute but I'd really like to have a stamp camp WITH OUT it sometime!! LOL This was a cool looking card tho. (Please ignore the poor job I did w/the border punch, I'm still not good w/these!!) I really liked the pink & purple together.

Stamp Camp part II

I LOVE this card! It's got so much going on, I doubt it can even be mailed but it's way cool!!! Die cut scallop oval (that we punched the holes in -- awesome effect!) Die cut flowers (I HAVE to get this die) die cut butterfly (yes, I HATE butterflys but this one is acceptable 'cause it's got BLING!) Plus, I'm SO IN LOVE with this stamp!!! We also stamped a b/g on the butterfly die cut. I really need to get my b/g stamps out & use them more!

Stamp Camp for May

Stamping fun at Sue's again this month! She does such great projects. She claims they are all CASEd but, I don't care, they are very neat.

Here is the flowerpot card I've been seeing around EVERYWHERE! I was never overly impressed with them but, doing on myself does impress me! I think the flower pot is cute!!!

Stamp Camp part IV

I've been very lazy lately and haven't gotten this last pic loaded. That was because I didn't manage to get it finished at Stamp Camp. This was a FREAKING hard project & took a while for everyone to get it done. I got mine stamped but not colored. Now, I'm not thrilled w/the way I colored it. I never can just leave thier eyes alone!! Then, when I color them, they look goofy. Oh well.

Stamp Camp part III

This was the FUNNEST project we worked on Saturday. First you make a "box" (there is a SU die to make this box but Sue didn't have it :( ) Then, we took one full top note die cut & 2 cut down die cuts, cover them in versamark, sprinkle clear embossing powder on the entire surface. Then, using a bone folder, trace an uneven plaid pattern into the unmelted embossing powder. Heat & enjoy!! This technique was so much cooler than I thought it was going to be. I'm going to play w/this & come up with something "manly" for my father's day cards! Oh, the build-a-brad "closure" is the coolest!!!

Stamp Camp part II

Cute little box made using the matchbox die. I now have 2 of these. Don't know what to do with them. I guess I'll wait until I have someone to thank. I did buy a ton of Hershey Nuggets I could decorate & put in here.

Stamp Camp again!

Debi decided to have a Stamp Camp at her house for just her friends. We made 4 projects and I'll share them here with you over the next few days.

This was the first project and I gotta say my least favorite. I don't like YELLOW!! But, the technique was fun. We embossed white cardstock with the texture folder (or whatever SU calls it). Then, using

the DEBOSSed side (the non-bumpy side) we brayered ink and then sponged ink. I think my brayer lines were a little to straight but, what can you do. We then cut around the top & bottom flowers & mounted it on Summer Sun cardstock (I hate this color so much I don't even OWN any of it!!!)

Then, we stamped the 5th Avenue stamp INSIDE the card on a top note die cut. This actually looked pretty cute! The white cardstock we embossed & the top note die are both a shimmery paper. Can't really tell from these photos.

I will be sending this card (and a few others) to Traci for her Ink-a-palooza challenge. She will be sending them to the Autism Society of Maine.

April Stamp Camp

Another fun day at Sue's. I so love her Stamp Camps!! Here are today's projects:

The little box uses the matchbox die. Such a cute project. I like the "idea" of the Mother's Day card but not the color combo. A little too "red hat" for me (since I'm soooo young!)
I love this card. First, the glitter in the center of the flower (which you probably can't see in the pic) is just sooooo cool. Then, the whole concept of the "twist" to open it. And finally, LOVE that flower pot!!!
We did one other card but I can't share it here 'cause it's PERFECT for a friend who reads my blog. I may post it once I'm back from 'palooza next week. WOOHOO!!!!

Stamp Camp!

Sue always has marvelous stamp camps!! I love going! Here are the projects we did

I don't know which is my favorite! I will HAVE to buy the daisy 2 Sizzix/SU die. I MUST have it. I've seen some really cute things done with it. I will NOT be buying the pillow die. I love the whole bunny thing but I borrowed Sue's die. It does not work well in the cuttlebug. If you cut paper with it, the score lines end up cut. If you cut transparencies w/it, the score lines don't score. You can NOT use any sort of shim w/the die to make it work better. I made 20 of the pillow boxes for my friend Joan. I hope they work for her. I ended up using my scor-pal for the straight scores (and ruined my bone tool in the process) but the round scores??? Who knows?

Back to our regular scheduled crafts

I went to Sue's stamp camp today. These are so much fun. I wish she had them every weekend!!! Oh wait, I went to one last week & I have another NEXT week. Here are our projects!!

I also picked up my order from last Saturday! Got my scallop square punch & my Pocket Silhouettes stamps! I plan to make my 5 Christmas Cards per month tomorrow!!

In other stamp related news: I got an email notice that my Riley's shipped today, got THREE sets of ATCs back from Sherri and My Feb CK mag today. Earlier in the week I got my new Nesties. I've already played with some of them!!

Finally, the last of the Stamp Camp

Sorry it's taken me so long to finish this. These are the final 3 projects that we did at last weeks Stamp Camp.
I know the candy bar thing is not "new" but this was honestly the first time I had done one. I love the way the crimper "seals" the ends. Plus, this gingerbread man is TOO CUTE!!! We have used just about every image from this set (hostess set) and I know I NEED it!! But, the most amazing thing about this project is that after a really bad week that left NO CHOCOLATE anywhere in the house, this managed to survive. But, I guess now that I've shown the pic, I can EAT IT!!!!

The coolest thing about the bag is that it used a ballpoint GLUE pen!! I had never tried one of those before. It's pretty awesome! We were able to "draw" glue lines & then glitter them. This pen became my new MUST HAVE. Unfortunately, it's not from SU. I did find it at Archivers this weekend. LOVE IT!!!

And last, but surely not least, the album. First I want to say that I do NOT like this DSP. Orange & brown are NOT snow colors. They do not invoke feelings of winter, snow, Christmas or anything else this line is supposed to convey. But, the IDEA was TOO DARN CUTE!!! So simple, so quick (everything was pre-cut) and so WOW!!! I think my mom needs one of these for the school pics of the g'kids!

Now, to work on Christmas Cards. At least to come up with a DESIGN for the cards.

Sue's SU Stamp Camp

I felt today called for alliteration. My Florissant buddy Joan guilted me into going today: she wanted to go & had no one to go w/her (the rest of the Flo entourage was otherwise engaged) and since Sue was originally MY SU Demo, I felt I had to go. Boy am I glad I did!! We made 10 projects. Some will be posted in later days. It took us 5 hours & I'm a pretty speedy stamper!! Oh what fun we had!! Sue, you ROCK!!!!

Just an FYI, my buddy Joan LOVES to stamp a "hint" on the outside of the envie. When she does, I feel I have to also!

In addition to all this fun, I WON an attendance prize. Woohoo!!! This is what I chose. I'm going to try to convince DH I need to go to Sue's Stamp a Stack next week!!
