These are so much fun!!

Ok, over at the Stamp Shack, Sherri posted a link to a blog showing how to make the cutest teeny-tiny little pocket books. I tried it w/a piece of printer paper & thought it was cute but someone suggested they wanted one that would fit an ATC. My brain started churning. I came up with this one. The size is apx 4x3 on the inside dimensions and ATCs fit PERFECTLY inside. I am in LOVE with making these. They are so much fun & so easy. So thanks to Sherri, thanks to Michelle and thanks to Sherry G for starting the shack!

April Christmas

Well, I was reminded two days ago that I was supposed to be making 10 Christmas cards this month. OOOPS!! Usually, I have a plan. The plan almost ALWAYS is stealing someone else's design. LOL. I didn't have a plan. So, I started thinking and came up with this idea. I'm not sure if it's inherently a flawed card or if it's so far out of my comfort zone that it's confusing me. I NEVER use all white (my s/bing motto always was "fear the white space") and I have only not used layers ONCE before. So, if you have an opinion on it, I'd love to hear it.

Pink & Brown Swap

This is for Christies's Pink & Brown cards swap. I'm not sure how much I like it. It looks better IRL (It's very hard to take pics of a TRP what w/glare and trying to put something behind it so it even shows up!) I went ahead & made 6 of these but, I may use them for something else. I guess I'll have to think on it....

More Birthday

I'm LOVING transparencies and Stazon. I'm wondering how I got along w/o Stazon for so long. I really, really dig it! I like the Opaque better 'cause the pads aren't quite as wet. When stamping on transparencies (or TRPs as I call them. It's too long a word!!), drier is definitely better!!

This was made w/my coolio Hero Arts cupcake stamps. I just love these cupcakes. Makes me hungry everytime I use them.

Imperfect Birthday?

I "stole" this idea from someone but, of course, I don't remeber who. Anyway, it didn't turn out as good as I wanted it. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig on it but, it didn't help! As a stamper, would you be disappointed to receive this less than perfect image? Of the 6 I made (just wanted to have some ready for family & friends) about 2 are "good enough". Whacha think?

Horror of horrors!

Even worse than the 5.4 earthquake that hit us Friday morning, the Stamp-Shack, my home on the web, my connection to my buddies, my LIFELINE is down!!! Oh, the humanity!!! In case there are an of my SS buddies that read this blog, please, please, please come and join us at the Yahoo group Angie set up for us last time the Shack went bye-bye!

We're trying to keep it together as best we can there. We can post to each other & even show pictures. I miss you all and hope we can weather this together!!! I'm guessing this is down until Sherry either tries to check the shack from the road or until she returns home.

Hugs & kisses to y'all!!

Who doesn't love CUPCAKES???

I love this card. This is for Joanne's swap at the shack. This is my all-time favorite color combo! Anything with these 3 colors just makes me happy. In case you can't tell, it's Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink & So Saffron. Now, if you know me, you know I HATE yellow in any of it's forms. So, me saying I love this yellow is saying SOMETHING!!

ATC Swaps

Sherri is hosting 2 ATC swaps at the Shack (well, she's probably hosting alot more than 2 but I'm IN 2 that she's hosting). I'm starting to LOVE ATCs. They are fairly fast to do & since there is not as much room as a card or a s/b page, they are much simpler to do!

SU Party cards

These are from the last SU party I went to (can you believe I have another in 2 weeks? I think I may actually have 2, one on Fri, one on Sat plus a Pampered Chef party this coming Fri. Gee, I'm popular, huh?) Anyway, I LOVE this demo & all the cards she has us do. Plus, this group is so much fun. Die Hard crafters of ANY sorts. They are into needle & wet felting, painting, scrapbooking and now rubber stamping.

Finally, a post!!!

Late last week, I finally finished my 10 Christmas cards. This was a very labor intensive card, more so than I thought. I'm not 100% pleased with them but, that may just be 'cause I've stared at them too long.

Yesterday, I went to play "cards" with my Saturday Stampin' Sistah's. We had so much fun (and a YUMMY carmel stolen that was to die for!!) I got my Cute Critters done for Sherri's swap and I got all the elements ready for Joanne's Theme X Three swap. It's so much fun to scrap/stamp w/girlfriends. You feed off each other & get better ideas than you'd ever get alone. I love my girlfriends!!

I'm sorry, I'm a bad blogger, AGAIN!

DH was sick last week, ds is coming down w/something & now, I'm feeling very congested. We leave for Spfld, MO on Fri morning (4+ hour drive). I figure I should be good & sick by Thur afternoon. LOL. I wish I could stay home today & rest but I have 2 special orders at work so I really need to be there. I promise I will try to get some pics of the neato cards I did last Friday up here soon!!

Well, it happened again

Someone spammed my blog. BLUCK!!! So, I'm gonna try that annoying letters thing. I don't want to moderate the comments since I don't get back here hourly, plus, no one but spammers have commented for days.

I did 2 great cards at the SU party yesterday. Plus 3 felted eggs. I'll post tomorrow along w/my Getting to Know you ARCs for Angie's swap.

Nothing done again today!!

Dh came home from Dallas today. He got into the van crabby & tells me he thinks he's getting the flu!! ACK -- Go back to Dallas then!

I left my house this morning at 7:20am. Drove ds to school, picked up dd's bf & drove them to school, drove to my work, worked until 1:15, drove to pick up my friend, drove 15 miles to take her to a Culver's for her B'day (she's never been, LOVED it!), picked girls up on the way home, dropped friend off, dropped dd's bf off, picked up ds (who took the bus home from school, thank goodness!) and took him to Tae Kwondo, drove thru to get food, took food home to eat, left 20 minutes later, took dvd's back to McD's (redbox, hope y'all have these, they are AWESOME! $1 rental!) drove to airport, waited for dh's "on-time" flight for 30 minutes, got gas ($3.09 a gal in MO) and got home at about 8:45. I'm beat. Dh has fallen asleep ACROSS the bed, I didn't get to work on my swap stuff, laundry is not done & the house is not clean.

Tomorrow's another day: work, p/u dd from school (bf is on vacation w/her family before dad is shipped to Kosovo for a year!), go to SU party (4th in 6 weeks!) and maybe then I'll get to work on my swap stuff.

Sorry, still no pics

I've been bogged down w/the non-stamping side of life this week. I have been TRYING to get my 10 C'mas cards done for March (wanted to be EARLY this month) and I've been working on a Shack swap but my printer is NOT COOPERATING!!! I hate when my printer is illogical. If it's gonna screw up, screw up the NORMAL way that I know how to fix! Don't tell me your printing and/or deleting and don't do it!!!

Twice now I've gotten icky "comments" on my blog. If I get one more, I'm going to have to either put those annoying letter/number things in for y'all to type or have to go to moderated comments. I don't like either option but I don't want you (or me for that matter) to get a virus by reading my comments. Why is there so much evil in the world?? Kinda makes you wonder what God thought was so bad during Noah & Lot's times.

I have no pictures from Saturday :(

Can you believe that I didn't accomplish one thing on Sat?? I really, really intended to but, I mounted my new stamps, ate, showed them the cuttlebug and then I worked on Marge's St. Pat's cards. I guess I should have taken pics of them to show. Some were really cute!!

Yesterday, in case you didn't know (and unless you have a pre-teen or a video game significant other, you wouldn't have known) was Brawl Day! The most anticipated day, even better than Christmas according to my 11yo. It was the day that Super Smash Brothers Brawl came out for the Wii. I had purposely NOT pre-ordered it because, being an old mom, I didn't realize the significance of the day. I woke up fairly early (even after setting the clocks UP) and read this cartoon: (click on it to make it big enough to see. LOL) (Ok, that doesn't seem to work. here's a link to see the actual cartoon.)

That's when I started to panic. We had promised Nick this game at Christmas. But, the release was delayed. Then, it was delayed again. Nick woke up before 7am yesterday ('cause he was so dang excited) so I asked him if he wanted to run to the 24 hour Walmart to see if they had it in. Of course he did. We got to Walmart about 7:15 and NO ONE was there except employees. Nick RAN to the electronics dept but didn't see the game. I told him he needed to ask the employee. She opened the case and had only 4 left!!! So, we got ours!!! She said they sold a TON at midnight & had lines a mile long. As we were leaving, another guy came in looking for one. I guess that meant there were only 2 left.

Needless to say, I didn't see Nick all day yesterday. He refused to go to the airport with us. He came out briefly to annoy the cat and again to eat dinner and take a shower. He's very bummed that he has to go to school today. He thinks that Brawl day should be Brawl week.

Now that I've written a novel on it, makes me think I should get some pics of him & the game 'cause if I have this much journalling, I should have a scrapbook page of it, don't you think??
